There’s something I need to say.
If you’re an American citizen, Trump IS your president. Period.
Personally, I don’t think you can say you’re an American if you don’t accept the outcome of the election. Having your own view is good, but slamming down on our president is NOT ok. He is our commander in chief, and trust me, he isn’t leaving any time soon.
And the more you rebuke the result of the election, the more our country will separate and become weak.
“Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.”
Romans 13:1-7
Trust me, God made Trump our president, he has a plan. And we need to trust that plan. God uses all kinds of people for his good. Do you want “proof” that Trump becoming out president was all in God’s plan from the beginning of time? Well… How about the fact that everyone in the media (Republicans or Democrats) all said it was IMPOSSIBLE for him to win the election, even hours before the election was called, everyone was shook up saying it wasn’t possible the numbers were right. It was a shock to the whole nation when Trump became the president elect. But I’m positive God wasn’t suprised. And if God didn’t want him to be, trust me–Trump would not be our president today.
After all, God can use anyone to accomplish his purposes. Remember how God used Rehab? She was a prostitute, and trust me, that’s not a God-honoring job. But God used her for good. And she turned out being a God-honoring woman.
So yes, Trump is my president. And if you’re a legal, American citizen, Trump is your president. That doesn’t mean I agree with him. I don’t have to agree with him for him to be my president.
I saw someone comment on Facebook that they could never pray for Trump, just because they hate him. I was puzzled by this comment. A Christian was saying they couldn’t pray for our president because they don’t agree with him. We all should be praying for our president, because he’s in a high position. Why wouldn’t we want out president to succeed and do the best he can? Everyone can use prayer in some way, but especially our leaders.
So will you pray for our president?

Amen, Hayley! It’s ridiculous how so many people are reacting to having Trump as our new President. I’m just glad that so far he’s kept many of his promises and that he is standing up for the unborn like no one has for a long time!
Awesome post, girl! 👍🏻

Such an excellent post, Hayley! I totally agree. Just because you don’t agree with someone does NOT mean you need to hate him/her and it especially doesn’t mean you shouldn’t pray for them. If anything, it mean you should pray for them even more!

THANK YOU! I hope everyone reads this post because it is so true! I personally love Trump and think he’s an amazing president, but even if you disagree 100% with him, he’s still your president! I mean, I really, really didn’t like Obama (sorry, anyone who reads this who does like Obama … no offense), but I still realized he was the president and deserved respect and prayers (although I thought, as people think now, that the world was coming to an end … but I was only about six … so perhaps I can be forgiven for not realizing God was in control no matter what). 🙂

Very well said. It really confuses me when Christians say “I hate all (blank).” The whole core of Jesus Christ’s teachings were to show kindness to everyone, and accept everyone.

Agreed! Great post. 🙂 My family and I have great respect for Trump, since he first ran for presidential candidate. We’ve been praying for him since then… and we continue to pray for President Trump and his family!
God bless America.

Yes! Thank you for writing this, it’s so important. How disgusting people can be! Everything happens for a reason, God has a plan that is not our own. We just need to pray for our president that God guides him to do the right things

This is so very true. I disagree with a lot of what Trump says; he has his pros and cons, but aren’t the cons all the more reason to pray for him? This should go viral.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
(Matthew 5:44)
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
(1 Corinthians 1:27)
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
(2 Chronicles 7:14)
I know this is true. If we come together as Christians and Americans, God can use us as instruments in His hands for good. If we trust in Him and His plan, He can heal both our hearts and our land. I know He can.

Amen! This is incredibly true, very nicely written, and sound thinking. I especially love poont about Rahab being a prostitue, but tgen becoming part of God’s plans and being godly eventually. This is very good, because I know many people as concerned because he has made some horrific choices in the past, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been forgiven or that Gid can’t use him. Again, is was a ic post.

PREACH Hayley! This is such a well-written post, and it’s so true. All of this complaining is not what we should be doing. We should accept it and pray for him to make the right decisions. Thank you for writing this. I will definitely be sharing.
