I have to introduce you to someone very special. Someone who is adorable, and someone who is very sweet…
If you’ve read my last couple posts, you’ll know who and what I’m talking about. If not, you still might not have caught on.
So here’s a little hint: today my sisters, dad, and I stuffed 176 bails of hay into my Dad’s bright red trailer.

Well… let’s stop guessing and just find out, shall we?
Say hello to Scout! So… A couple evenings ago we welcomed a new animal to our farm–a real, live, adorable cow!
So we’re technically a full blown farm–correct?
She’s a white and black, 1-year-old Holstein… She’s messy, but, that’s just life.
She’s got a nose as cute as spring peeps, a tongue as rough as a bail of hay, and fur as smooth as a duckling’s down.
So there you have it, another sassy girl, here on the farm.
Don’t worry, you’ll be seeing a lot more of this furry gal soon enough…

Haha, I’ve always known Calfs are adorable, but I never thought bigger cows were as cute as Scout! Thanks! She does :).

I know! That’s really cool! Would you have it for Milk? Scouts for Milk, BTW. But she’s not milking at the moment ’cause she hasn’t had her baby. But we hope she’s pregnant and if so, we’ll have a calf in 9 months!

Yeah, for milk. Our cows actually belong to my dads cousin and they are leaving in about a year, so yeah. 😀

Awww…. Scout’s adorable! I hope you get lots of yummy milk from her! We used to have a sweet cow that was a red color. We named him Red. XD

I hope so too! I’ve actually never tried raw milk, but I’m sure I’ll love it :). That’s awesome, I didn’t know that! And very creative name ;).

Haha, ok… My sister does want pigs, and if we did get one, they would be meat. But that’s what God gave them to us for. And if would have a very good life!

Actually, yes! Scout was our favorite character in To Kill A Mocking Bird and we decided she looked like a Scout. And she’s hilarious… And of course, a tomboy ;).

Yay! I was right! 😉 I read To Kill A Mocking Bird just this school year, and I really liked the book. 🙂 I think Scout is a good name for the cow. 🙂

That is SO weird! I was going to guess that. My aunt used to have a dog named Scout and apparently that’s how she got her name, because Scout was my aunt’s favorite character too. 😉

Oh my goodness, Scout is absolutely adorable! ❤ And your photography is so gorgeous – I *love* the close up photo of her lashes! This is so cool, are you having fun with her?
